Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Share the Fare! By using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

Booking Information

  1. Upon booking, you will receive an email with your collection details and receipt. Ensure you review these instructions carefully.

  2. If any details are incorrect, notify us immediately to receive an updated receipt.

  3. We are not responsible for errors if you fail to review and confirm your booking details.


Travel Guidelines

  1. Share the Fare takes no responsibility for missed onward travel connections (e.g., flights, trains) due to delays caused by traffic, weather, or unforeseen circumstances.

  2. Passengers are advised to allow ample time for their journey. For air travel, arrive at the airport at least two hours before departure.

  3. Ensure you have adequate travel insurance before booking with us.

Pricing Policy

  1. Prices are determined based on distance, travel time, number of passengers, and any additional factors such as tolls or special requests.

  2. An additional charge applies for services during public holidays and peak periods (e.g., Christmas and New Year).

  3. Toll fees for bridges or other applicable charges are not included in your booking price and must be paid directly to the driver.


Waiting Time

  1. There is no charge for the first 10 minutes of waiting after the scheduled pickup time. After that, we may not be able to wait due to other passengers. If the driver can wait (and if other passengers agree), an additional waiting charge of £20 per hour will apply.

  2. Additional waiting time will be charged at £20 per hour per passenger.

Cancellations and Refunds

  1. Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled pickup to receive a full refund. Administrative fees and other charges may apply for cancellations due to any reason.

  2. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled pickup will not be eligible for a refund.  

  3. No refund will be issued if the passenger fails to show up at the agreed pickup point and time.

  4. The driver may cancel the ride if they feel the passenger is behaving inappropriately, unsafe conditions arise, or for other valid reasons. No refunds will be issued in such cases.

Liability

  1. Share the Fare is not liable for delays or service interruptions caused by factors beyond our control, including but not limited to traffic, adverse weather, accidents, vehicle breakdowns, or any other unforeseen circumstances.

  2. We do not accept responsibility for delays under any circumstances, and passengers are advised to allow sufficient time for their journey.

  3. While we ensure all drivers are DBS-checked for safety, passengers are encouraged to report any concerns.

  4. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the service in question.

Additional Charges

  1. Extra charges may apply for special requests, including additional baggage, additional passengers, additional stops or last-minute changes to the itinerary.

  2. Passengers with significant delays during return journeys may incur additional parking fees.
